Barça leaders leave a month to extend Ousmane Dembélé at the end of his contract in June 2022.
Ousmane Dembele, 24, played 138 matches for 33 goals and 21 assists with the FC Barcelona since his arrival in August 2017. The transfer of the French striker estimated at 135 M € was supposed to compensate for the lack of Neymar gone to PSG a few weeks before, a role that the former Rennais could not hold, the fault of multiple injuries which kept him away from the field.
Last season, Dembélé was the author of his most complete season in the Blaugrana jersey, totaling 50 matches for 13 goals and 5 assists. Since Monday, announced present at collective training, it is up to his trainer Ronald Koeman to find the best moment to integrate him into the group for his return to competition.
On the other hand, it is another problem concerning Dembélé with which the management of the Catalan club must compose. According to the media Sports world the Catalan leaders would have agreed a month, to manage to extend the international tricolor at the end of the contract next June. Following which without positive responses from him, Barça could decide to place him on the transfer list this winter. After departures from Lionel Messi and D’Antoine Griezmann, FC Barcelona could therefore lose Ousmane Dembélé.
