The former great goalscorer became president of the Cameroon Football Federation on Saturday.
He had won almost everything in clubs (FC Barcelona, Inter…) during his brilliant career. Samuel Eto’o, 40, has just won a big victory in his new life.
The former scorer of the Indomitable Lions (118 selections – 56 goals) was elected president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fécafoot) on Saturday, with 42 votes against 31 for Seydou Mbombo Njoya, who until then held these functions.
I’ll be remembering today as one of the proudest moments of my life. I’m deeply grateful for to be elected as the new president of @FecafootOfficie. Every vote represents the energy and ambition of our football family to take our beloved sport to a level we’ve never seen before. pic.twitter.com/2z8fjLBMLA
