After his serious injury his long recovery, the great hope of Barça is preparing to return to the field.
Ansu Fati finally sees the end of the tunnel. On November 7, 2020, during Barça’s victory against Sevilla Betis (5-2), the young Blaugrana striker suffered a tear in the meniscus of the left knee.
After a first surgery, two days after his injury, Ansu Fati was operated on again in mid-January 2021.
During his rehabilitation, Fati felt an inflammation of the knee which delayed his return to the field.
Not to miss
This injury stopped the player then in full rise, causing him to miss the Euro. He had just made a thunderous start to the 2020-2021 season and had even made his debut with La Roja, becoming in the process the youngest scorer in the history of the Spanish selection.
Last August, Fati resumed training but Barca did not want to take any risk by not playing him in competition in order to prevent a possible relapse.
And this Saturday, FC Barcelona published a video in which the player sends a message that will delight the supporters of the Catalan club: “Culés, I’m ready”.
Ansu Fati could therefore make his comeback on the pitch, this Sunday, on the occasion of the meeting between FC Barcelona and Levante. He was indeed selected by Ronald Koeman in the group of players for this match.
If he shouldn’t be starting, Koeman should throw it in the game which kicks off at 4:15 p.m. Fati will wear the number 10 on this occasion, which he recovered after the departure of Lionel Messi and which testifies to the importance that Barça attaches to him.
