Manchester United: Pogba denies tensions with Solksjaer

Paul Pogba was keen to restore his truths after rumors of a possible departure in his wake of humiliation against Liverpool.

Paul Pogba has responded to reports of a disagreement between him and Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as well as claims he has cut off negotiations for a new contract with the club.

The Frenchman has reportedly been considering his future at Old Trafford following Sunday’s 5-0 Premier League loss to Liverpool, in which the midfielder was sent off shortly after coming on at half-time.

However, Pogba described this information as “fake news” via social networks. Above a screenshot of an article titled “Pogba snubbed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Man Utd’s loss to Liverpool and ended contract negotiations”, the player superimposed a message saying “Fake news”.

Pogba also included the following post: “Big lies to make the headlines”.

The former Juve star added on Instagram: “The tabloid press wants to once again create controversy with 100% fake news. Big lies to make the headlines. Journalists who use my name to be seen when there is nothing to see.

“The only reason I bring this bullshit is out of respect for my coach, my club and my fans to send a clear message: the less you read these people the better off you are, they have no shame and will say anything without any foundation. “

The 2018 World Cup winner has often been a source of criticism when United experienced a drop in form, and has often been linked with a departure from the club.

Indeed, his agent Mino Raiola has never hesitated to announce that his client could leave in the future, the latest hint dating back to September, when the Italian admitted that “Turin is always in the heart of Pogba”.

Criticism of Pogba, who is under contract until 2022, has escalated after Liverpool humiliation, with former United midfielder Paul Scholes calling the Frenchman a“disrespectful”.

Scholes said: “You have to wonder, if Ole is still a manager, if we will see Pogba again in the United shirt. He has wreaked havoc over the past two years. Everyone knows he has talent, everyone trusts him, all managers trust him.

“With all this fuss, the fact that he didn’t sign his contract, that he almost demanded a ransom from the club, and then he comes along and does something like that. It’s not the fault of Ole, don’t get me wrong, but that’s part of what almost summed up United’s performance today.

“Listen, he’ll probably play [à nouveau], is not it ? But I don’t think they’ll be missing anything if he doesn’t play. “
