French Cup: Bordeaux a hit, Brest trembles

The cardboard of these 32nd finals of the Coupe de France for the time being is to be put to the credit of Bordeaux, wide winner of the Twins of M’Zouazia this Sunday.

The Mayotte club lost 10-0 to the Girondins, surprised by a quadruple from Niang, a double from Pembélé and achievements signed by Medioub, Dilrosun, Sissokho and Maja.

Against Cholet, a National formation, Nice did not shine so much, settling for a goal from Delort (63e) to make the difference (0-1). Qualifications also of Chauvigny (N3) at the expense of Chartres (N2), on the score of 2-1, and of Roche-sur-Yon (N3) to the detriment of Montauban (R2), on the mark of 1-2.

Finally Brest had to go through an epic penalty shootout to overcome Dinan-Léhon, who is playing in National 3. After a goalless draw while the amateurs played ten from the 32e minute, the SB29 got its ticket for the 16e at the end of the suspense: 13 shots on goal to 12.
