Four new candidates would have come forward for the redemption of the Saint-Etienne club according to information from the Team.
After refusing to follow up on the first two buyout projects carried by Olivier Markarian and Jean-Michel Roussier, this Monday during a hearing organized by KMPG, the bosses of the Saint-Etienne training; Bernard Caiazzo and Roland Romeyer, will look into other avenues via the audit firm responsible for finding a new buyer.
They are now four to fight for a resumption of the Forez club. Terrapin Partners, which has already tried to buy ASSE in 2018, is back in the company of a billionaire whose name has not been disclosed. The latter, being one of the greatest fortunes on the planet, should not have too much trouble convincing Bernard Caiazzo and Roland Romeyer.
Having not yet completed this important operation, the current owners are, however, confident about their passage before the DNCG on Thursday. After having forced the Stéphanois technical staff to make no purchases last summer and assured of collecting 28 million euros in receivables, the Caiazzo-Romeyer duo will approach their meeting in front of the financial policeman with serenity.
