Barça are ready for the Clasico

Thanks to a goal from Gerard Pique, FC Barcelona won their first Champions League match on Wednesday against Dynamo Kiev (1-0), 4 days to find Real Madrid.

It was only a 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev, at Camp Nou, with a victorious recovery of Gerard Piqué on a cross from Jordi Alba (36th), but the victory of FC Barcelona, Wednesday night in the Champions League, could not be more important. Ronald Koeman’s men were forced to win after two defeats in this group D, against Bayern and then Benfica, each time with a score of 3-0.

Above all, they had to avoid a new underperformance a few days before the Clasico and the arrival of Real Madrid in Catalonia on Sunday (4:15 p.m.). Dominating and generous in the effort (59% possession of the ball, 11 shots attempted), the Barcelona however lacked success in the finish, like a Luke De Jong still unconvincing despite his head game.

Fati launched at half-time

Memphis Depay has once again been the offensive leader of his team, but Barca have new weapons. Ansu Fati, after his goal last weekend against Valencia, was launched at half-time, along with Philippe Coutinho, then Sergio Agüero entered for the last quarter of an hour. These super subs haven’t managed to beat Georgi Bushchan, but they look good and are ready to shine against the Merengues.
