Karim Benzema a little more in the legend of Real Madrid. The French striker scored the 1000e Real Madrid’s goal in C1 Wednesday, November 3 at the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium against Shakhtar Donetsk on the fourth day of the Champions League.

Benzema only had to push into the net a ball stuck in the feet of Marlon by Vinicius in the opposing area (15e) to pass this bar to Real.

Alongside Di Stefano, Puskas and Ronaldo

The Madrid club is the one that has scored the most goals in the history of C1, ahead of Bayern Munich (763) and FC Barcelona (654).

Benzema thus joins a long list of legends of the merengue club: the 100e Real’s goal in the queen of European competitions was scored by Alfredo Di Stefano, the 200e by Ferenc Puskas, and the 800e and 900e by Cristiano Ronaldo, in particular.

Real Madrid have the record for the number of titles in C1, with 13 coronations.
