Ronald Koeman is impatiently awaiting the Clasico, a match that does not scare him.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will face each other in the Clasico on Sunday and Ronald Koeman is looking forward to this match, hoping for his first victory as a coach in this duel.
Last season Barcelona lost both Clasicos that took place. Now, with the supporters returning to the stands, Koeman is hoping for a better result.
“We’ve won our last two games and we’re feeling great heading into this big game,” Koeman said in his pre-match press conference.
Not to miss
“We are looking forward to this game. I hope the stadium will be full or almost full and there will be a good atmosphere.
“We know what we can do and we’re playing at home, so I’m not scared.
“Both teams play for a lot. For us, we still remember what happened last year. But a lot can happen. This game will say a lot about the current state of form of both teams.” .
When asked which club has the best squad at the moment, Koeman said they are similar.
“I don’t know, although there is a difference in terms of experience,” he said.
“We also have experienced players. So it’s close.
“There are areas where they could be better and others where we could be better.
“We will try to give our best. I don’t think there is a favorite for this game.
“Ball possession is important to us, as they play well on the counterattack. We will need to be well organized when we get the ball and when we lose it, to control their counter attacks.”
One of the pre-match comparisons is between Ansu Fati and Vinicius and the Dutchman was invited to give his opinion on the two young wingers.
“They are both young and have yet to prove a lot,” Koeman said.
“I mentioned it the other day, but we have to be calm with Ansu Fati and let him make a full recovery.
