Mercato: Hazard snubbed by the big European clubs

Real Madrid striker Eden Hazard has reportedly been offered to Manchester United. British site ESPN says MU is one of four clubs to have rejected the possibility of signing the former Lille as the latter seeks to revive elsewhere after two complicated years at the Bernabeu.

Hazard, 30, struggled to reach the heights that convinced the Spanish giants to shell out € 100m for his services in 2019. Physical worries and injuries of all kinds prevented the former star of Chelsea to shine in Spain. And this is verified through the numbers, since he has scored only 5 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions for the Merengue.

Hazard is no longer popular

His representatives are currently looking to find him a way out but no major continental team wants his services. United have become the latest club to turn their backs on the talented winger. Previously, Bayern Munich, PSG and even Newcastle had also decided not to bet on the former Chelsea star.

A situation which must sadden the player, but also his club. Indeed, Madrid officials would like to get rid of an item that costs them dearly and which is very rarely available. The statements recently made by Carlo Ancelotti go in this direction.
