The former Real Madrid star has a little idea about the Norwegian’s future club.
The future of Erling Haaland is one of the most discussed things in European football lately. Everyone is talking about the Borussia Dortmund striker and speculating on his future.
The Norwegian is set to leave the German club next summer, with a clause in his contract becoming active and allowing him to leave if a release clause is reached.
“Of course it will be difficult, but we will do everything we can to keep our best players,” said Hans-Joachim Watzke, BvB chairman.
Not to miss
Former Real Madrid player Steve McManaman has also spoken out about Haaland’s future, and he is hopeful that Los Blancos are his next choice.
“Do I think Liverpool will be in the race to sign him next summer? No,” McManaman said in a column for Horseracing.net. “I really think he will go to Real Madrid and the player personally loves the idea of the club, the lifestyle, and everything that comes with playing for them.
“I don’t think the price is the reason Liverpool don’t want to sign him. Those are all the other variables involved in signing a player of his caliber. He would have a huge salary and every other player would want him. same.”
“Mino Raiola would also like a lot of money himself, and I don’t think Liverpool want to get involved in this matter.”
